Alba Ponce de León is a singer/songwriter who cut her teeth as a backup singer for the late great Charles Bradley (Daptone Records) and Naomi Shelton & The Gospel Queens (Daptone Records). She is a member of the Resistance Revival Chorus, an all-womxn's chorus born out of the Women's March, that performs songs of joy and protest all around the United States.

Alba currently fronts and writes for her band, Alba + The Mighty Lions, whose Latin Pyschedelic Soul stylings will be released August 2018 on 45 by the Brooklyn label, Names You Can Trust. Their cover of David Bowie's Space Oddity was recently featured on the soundtrack for Gimlet Media's podcast, The Habitat.

In addition to Alba + The Mighty Lions, Alba has recorded for artists including Alicia Keys, Mark Ronson, Kevin Morby, Gnarls Barkley, Binky Griptite, The Reigning Sound, The Scone Cash Players and more. She has performed live with Syl Johnson, Marva Whitney, Billy Prince of the Precisions, BENJAMIN, Walk Talk, SLV and Karikatura NYC, to name a few. Alba also wrote for and performed on the soundtrack for the feature length film, Postales, which was recently reissued by Colemine Records, feat. additional previously unreleased tunes.
